Platformer Update #2

I'm starting to flesh out my ideas a bit more for this project. I have been working on my player character design and wanted to have a main rubric to use. So I got a 3 month free trial to Clip Studio and started drawing on a picture that I could reference back to for the pixel art and potentially for the start screen image. Here is the outline that I have so far:



I'm going to continue working on it. I have some inspirations from a bunch of ninja designs including Raiden from Metal Gear Rising Revengance and the and Ryu from the Ninja Gaiden 6th gen console games.





More updates to come. I can't wait for you to see what I'm cooking up.

 

Extra Blog

So I finally decided to decided to decent into the deep and wonderous maze of Unreal Engine. I have UE5 installed and have started on the process of looking at the video tutorials provided by epic-I'm currently doing the First hour course on the Unreal Engine website. I'm very interested in this engine especially considering how much technology is provided to the use free of charge. there's a lot to experiment with for creating an amazing game. It's also being used more in movies and Television. Star Wars has been using it for a few years now:

There's so many possibilities here. Might occasionally switch back to Blender just so I don't get over whelmed. But I really happy that this is available and that Epic have made these videos to show newcomers how it works.
